We are excited to announce that our service, Fandascope, is now officially certified by XBRL International.

As strong believers in the future of digital reporting and its development, and most importantly, in the quality of digital reports, we have created a free service where anyone can review their report for the accuracy of machine-readable information.

Based on our extensive experience in preparing and working with digital reports, we have observed that conventional viewers do not provide users with a clear understanding of what specific information has been digitised in the machine-readable format and how. You can only check the human-readable view in the XHTML.

One of the most frequent issues we’ve encountered is the lack of or incorrect table layout in XHTML documents, which is one of ESMA’s requirements for ESEF reports. This problem has been prevalent in many reports, regardless of the vendor, even among the largest and most popular ones.

Additionally, we have noticed that digital reports often suffer from conversion issues, where machine-readable data loses clarity; for example, extra spaces may appear, or entire sentences are written without spaces.

These are just a few examples of regulatory requirements and overall report quality issues that users cannot verify in their digital reports using vendor software or standard XHTML viewers.

To address these challenges, we developed Fandascope. Initially, it was an internal technology that provided us with additional quality control for our ESEF reports. However, we decided to make it available to all digital reporting users.

Now, this technology is not only freely accessible via the service website https://fandascope.com/ but is also officially part of a very limited group of free certified software tools for XBRL reports.
